GTarman | scatter on a P90 Ok, since a P90 bobbin is so narrow, would it really make much differenve on the amount of scatter? I mean I guess you could go with more or less depending on the tone you want but, Will it really make an impact at all? I have tried it several ways and dont hear much if any difference at all. |

Roscoe | I would think tension would be more important on a P90. |

Roscoe | Well, I don't wind P90's but I wind a similar size pu and the tightly wound ones just have a briter sound to me than the ones with less tension. Could be the wire stretch or more windings in a given space, not sure. I would'nt ignor scattering but like you said there's not much space in a short bobbin. |

The vertical space in a P90 bobbin is the same as yoru typical humbucker bobbin. |
