Barber Tone Pump schematic? Does anyone have a schematic of the Barber Tone Pump on their website? I hear good reports about the Tone Pump, but it costs an arm and a leg. Is it a difficult build? Any difficult to find parts in it? Thanks. Pete |

I've seen one, didn't bother tracing. basic, tuned up TS9. more bass, more gain, flatter mids, different opamp (IIRC a JRC 4559) 2 pairs of 4148's, the usual drill. Ed R. |

I did stumble on a schematic of the Tube Screamer yesterday, and I looked at it and said, well, if the Tone Pump is anything like this, I probably need to hold off on building one. I'm kicking around the idea of doing something much more humble and closer to my ability, I figure I could use a LPB-1 circuit to power a Marshall tone stack (per Duncan's TS calculator) RS claims to have the 2N5088 I'd need, but not in their stores, but... Small Bear has it! Pete |
