Barber Tone Pump schematic?
Does anyone have a schematic of the Barber Tone Pump on their website? I hear good reports about the Tone Pump, but it costs an arm and a leg.

Is it a difficult build? Any difficult to find parts in it?

Thanks.

I've seen one, didn't bother tracing.

basic, tuned up TS9.

more bass, more gain, flatter mids,

different opamp (IIRC a JRC 4559)

2 pairs of 4148's, the usual drill.

Book Of The Day The Ultimate Tone, Volume III by Kevin O'Connor
Have you ever wondered if there is a better way to build a Bassman, Champ, Plexi, an 800, AC-30, Bulldog or Portaflex? Or you wanted to build an SVT with off-the-shelf parts? How about a master-volume amp that doesn’t change tone with the master setting? Everything you need to know is right here, including: proper grounding techniques, wiring methods, and mechanical considerations. Eighteen chapters cover the “iconic” amps everyone knows and loves, with schematics and layouts for each, along with the technical history of the product. Eyelet-board and chassis-mounted tube socket construction is used throughout, for easy servicing and modding. TUT3 is very accessible even if you cannot fully read a schematic and is a "must have" if you are going to build an amp for your self.

Thanks. I did stumble on a schematic of the Tube Screamer yesterday, and I looked at it and said, well, if the Tone Pump is anything like this, I probably need to hold off on building one.

I'm kicking around the idea of doing something much more humble and closer to my ability, I figure I could use a LPB-1 circuit to power a Marshall tone stack (per Duncan's TS calculator)   RS claims to have the 2N5088 I'd need, but not in their stores, but...  Small Bear has it!
