You can also try the Hot Springs Reverb at PAiA, although it uses 2 reverb pans.  
 
 
 
I have a schematic for a spring reverb that appeared in Electronics Today a ways back that looks pretty good. It uses an optoisolator-based limiter to keep the "sproinginess" to a blessed minimum.  
 
 
 
Finally, there is one from Forrest Cook that looks alright. I forget where it is posted, but it is posted in several places, and looks fine for modding. You can do a google search for spring reverb AND schematic, and it should show up.
