OT Replacement for Crate VC 30 -- Vox?

JaySG	OT Replacement for Crate VC 30 -- Vox? I have a VC3112 which I've beefed up mechanically. I want to replace the original 8 ohm OT with a 16/8/4 tapped secondary unit. Has anyone here ever replaced the standard OT? Would one of the Vox OT's even fit? The stock piece is about the size of a Deluxe's.

Brian	The Vox OT would probably work for the circuit just fine--     as for fit, it is rather large. I believe Hoffman's site has the dims. It only has 8/16 ohm taps though- no 4.     http://www.hoffmanamps.com/marvox.htm     BT

jay	Thanks, that piece of iron would take a fairly simple bracket to mount on the VC30 with some overhang. It is probably twice the size of the original though. Wonder if all AC-30 OTs are that large(6lbs)?

SpeedRacer	Yeah, they're the same size as a 50W Marshall OT. basically (but mounted Z mount..)
