"Folks, It takes time to build all the tooling, punches, dies and molds necessary to crank this stuff out. I haven't been posting for awhile for a variety of reasons (partial house rebuild for example). It is simply easier for me to work behind the scenes, getting these tools made. For example, if I were to have the forbon punches made to order for a strat set, it would cost upwards of $3,000 to $5,000 for the top OR bottom (so it means $6,000 to $10,000 for the set). I will need multiple sets for different purposes. To get the most bang for the buck, I am making all the punches, dies, and molds myself. This will eventually supply us all with punched forbon and metalwork. The injection molds, once completed, will be tested in a prototype press. Once the design meets required specs, the molds will then be sent to a pro injection molder to be fitted to their machines, so I can get the plastic pieces cranked out in quantity. The mold work I complete ahead of time will shave thousands off of the final cost of getting set up for supplying bobbins, for example. Stay tuned."
