Well, aside from the heater needing three times the current of a 6V6, and the need for a non standard transformer for it, and the fact that the high voltage rating is only 200 volts, there is no reason you couldn't use it.  
But why would you want to other than to look at it as a challenge? I mean is there any reason to select the tube over something more common?  
You can make a nice sounding amp out of most any tubes, and if that is the challenge for you, go for it. But we tend to use the same tubes for most things because they are well suited to this application, they are readily available at reasonable cost, and there is a large existing body of work using them.
