Post PI Master Thoughts

BKPost PI Master Thoughts
I'm sure this has been discussed many times, but I wasnt able to pull any threads in the search section..

I'm looking for thoughts on the Post-PI Master Volume for Marshall style circuits. Any preferences for PI-level control (ala Bruce Collins schematic) or the phase-cancellation control (ala Chieftan). How does global negative feedback get effected?

I took apart an old Bedrock 1200 head that was basically 2+1 Marshall (plus reverb) with a Bruce Collins style PPIMV and it sounded real good at low volume. This would be my first approach, but the Chieftan styl is simpler.

Any tricks or tips to maximize low volume tone?

BK
