If you are looking for the bottom end that the Mesa's are known for, simply pull up a Rectifier schematic and copy the feedback loop. It will give you a great deal of the Mesa bottom end, far more than cathode bypass caps will.  
Keep in mind that it be what many would call over the top as well as muddy or loose on the bottom end. There are ways to tighten it up, you just have to spend some time on the bench finding what works best for your or the customer's individual playing style.
