Listen to Carlos at woodstock..his tone has gotten worse and worse, he sounds overly compressed and un-natural now..I'll take an old marshall or fender over anything else. But it's in your hands mostly anyway. For rock and blues guitar sounds no matter what you do you will always end up with some type of amp that started life as an old fender design, somewhere between from a Tweed bassman to a BFSR.
