Floating Ground Switch...
Greetings all,

I'm thinking of setting up a "floating" grounding switch on a tweed kit. It's probably overkill, but if you've ever been zapped by a mic because the house power is ancient and the PA is running in reverse polarity to your guitar amp... well, you know.

I have a schematic for a Mesa Boogie where they do it this way, but it's a hand-drawn thing and not as clear as I would like. Looks like they use a couple of caps and an MOV across the hot and neutral with an SPDT ON-OFF-ON switch. Anybody ever done this before? Would appreciate any experience or insight before I start.

Thanks,

Allen
