With P90s and Hbs I do get in that zone using the bright input, normal volume on 0, bright volume above 9 or 10 and the tone control (almost) dimed. Lots of pinched harmonics! Not to sound like a ^&^%$ but a lot of that sound requires a certain attack to the strings Double check your wiring/voltages/etc. Chris
