Hi Tom  
It's certainly do-able as long as the B+ is below 380 Volts and the plate-current not too high.  
The 1k5 gridstoppers do prevend oscillations and except for the (Vibro)Champ and Princeton(Reverb) were used in most bf Fenders.  
Check out the many Fender schematics on the FenderFieldGuide to get ideas for the tremolo/cb/fixed bias options.
