American Indian jobs (I'm assuming you're talking about Native Americans, so I'll use that term from here on) go almost exclusively to Native Americans. When out of school I live with my dad in Tahlequah, Oklahoma (Cherokee Indian capital) and you basically don't get a job from the Cherokee Nation if there is a Cherokee or other tribe member also applying. They are American Citizens and also Cherokee Tribesmen (they were granted citizenship sometime between 1920-1970, I can't remember the date). It's a unique system, but basically the discrimination laws don't apply to them because many of their laws supercede US laws. This isn't really relevant, but it seems like you didn't realize that.
