I used the 40/40/20/20@525v can cap from CE/AES with good results. I had another ST 70 in my shop for repair a while back. The previous owner had loaded the thing up with all kinds of extra filtering. Besides not making much difference in the sound, the amp was a mess with glue and extra holes all over the place. He also had converted it to triode operation. It sounded much better after being returned to stock. So, what I am saying is I think its best to avoid the more radical modification plans.  
My old jazz recordings from the 60's just come alive on that amp!
