dead transistor in Shin Ei fuzz wah?

simonm	dead transistor in Shin Ei fuzz wah? I recently acqired a slightly messed up Shin Ei wah fuzz - got the fuzz to work by correcting the battery polarity (!), but the wah still doesn't work and engaging the switch cuts off the fuzz signal, which is annoying. There are no alterations to the pcb, but one transistor seems to have packed up - no voltage from collector to emitter with my DMM with power on- would this be the culprit? Siomn
