Jon | Measuring Resonant Peak Hi, I was wondering if there is an accurate way of measuring the frequency response, resonant peak and milivolt output without buying specialist equipment. I tried running a sine wave through an old pair of headphones placed close to the pickup. I tried about 20 different frequencies between 50 - 20000hz and measured the pickups milivlot output with a mulitmeter. I then plotted this data on a graph and I could work out what frequency caused the highest voltage output. Is this the correct way to calculate the resonant peak? I suspect not as all the pickups I tested came out at about 1000hz - way below what I seen on manufacturers' sites. Any help on this topic would be much appreciated. Jon |
