So, I tore everything out and put in a small Hammond PT I had laying around. Installed two tube sockets, used a champ OT and built a tweed champ circuit. I was surprised to hear the nice tone from this little bastard. With a strat, it's cleanish up to 4-5, then it just crunches up a storm.
