"Hi All I was wondering if anyone could help with a problem I'm having with my Bass master.I have a 69'and have just recently change the pre-amp to plexi Marshall specs,All was fine until I added a.68uf cap across the 820 ohm res. Now on the bright channel volume can't be turned up at all.I know this problem is probably due to lead dress,I was hopeing someone could save me some time and point me to where to start to change the lead dress in this amp."

If you cannot get the Treble Channel's volume knob up at all then it sounds like something may be hooked up wrong. I would double check everything to make certain it's hooked up correctly. You can use shielded wire from the inputs to the grid as well as from the Volume pots (wiper) to the grids. All in all you should not have to use shielded wire in a plexi for it to be stable. Is the Phase Inverter converted over to a Marshall style PI? If you want to take a digital photo you can email it to me at voodoodr@twcny.rr.com and I'll do all I can to help you out. I'm sure others will hop in real soon and give you a ton of things to try! :)
