Cliff	Bad phono plug Thanks for the reply, Wendell. I finally figured out that the new 1/4" phono plug I bought for the speaker input is bogus. I generally don't think of faulty components, figuring instead that it's probably something I did wrong. In this case, it was a shorted plug. I've got sound now, but still some fishy things going on. The bright channels sound great, but the normal channels are both dead. I don't see anything wrong, as both sets are wired similarly. I'll keep looking.
