Cliff	Soldering to brass plate I'm just finishing up one of Bruce's 5E3's. I soldered four globs onto the brass plate before installing it in the chassis, as Bruce recommended in this forum. I used a solder gun, which is pretty high wattage, I think, so no problem. I did have difficulty soldering the ground wires to the solder globs on the brass plate, however, once it was installed in the chassis. I would recommend soldering the ground wires to the brass plate before installing the plate. Connecting the ground wires to the eyelet board when installed in the chassis is easy, i.e., there is good access and not much heat is required. Hope my amp works when I fire it up.......
