Gabriel Edell![]() | Re: American Standard Strat Questions Are you trying to float the trem? If you already have the baseplate flush against the body, the tremsetter's not going to make a difference. I doubt the tuning problems are resulting from the American Standard bridge (hey, the same bridge works for Ywingie Malmsteen). I would look at the nut, string trees and tuners before the bridge. Replacing a plastic or bone nut with a graphite one will often solve most tuning problems. You can also get graphite string trees and locking tuners (Sperzels). A Strat with locking tuners, and graphite nut/trees shouldn't have any tuning problems unless you're doing lots of dive bombs. Gabriel |
