The concept of 'perfectly tuned' instruments is not applicable to pianos or any instruments using the tempered scale. It's a compromise, always slightly out of tune, but good enough for Rock and Roll (and Bach!).  
 
Your idea that a select few notes are chosen for music from the infinite possibilities that lie between also presents some problems. When I play guitar, I bend notes and use vibrato. I'd sound pretty sterile otherwise. Vocalists do the same. We're using the frequency 'spaces' between the 'proper' notes as a vehicle for expression. Training yourself to hear these frequencies as 'wrong' would not be a good idea, I believe!  
 
Personally, I don't want to hear music relative to an absolute pitch reference.
