Don't get offended, but you did open the file first before trying to print it, right? In other words, click on File > Open, then select the picture file you're trying to open.

If you've got the picture opened, then the File > Print should work.

If you've opened the picture and you *still* can't select File > Print then you probably don't have a printer set up. I can walk you through that if you'd like. Can you print from other programs?
