Didn't make any sense to me since the tube unit is the one that most people would want. So I ordered three of their heads for a tube unit, figuring that they would soon be extinct also. I received the heads last week and the invoice says SS Echoplex Erase/Rec. head. The impedances seem to be correct for the ss unit. I think the tube heads were all bought up and the sales person I talked to was confused. The good news is I can finish the repair job for my customer. Thanks for the info though. I saw an ad recently for a re-issue tube Echoplex. Price was kind of steep at a little over $1K, but perhaps whoever is doing these will make replacement parts available for all the originals that need them. Rick E.
