Effects of transformer output mismatch

PeterHEffects of transformer output mismatch
I have a homebrew 4 6V6 amp with a fender showman output tranny installed. I believe the showman tranny sees 8 ohms with 4 6L6 installed.
As I understand it, the tranny would see 16 ohms with 4 6V6 running and 32 ohms with 2 6V6's which is the low power option. Can anyone confirm this?
The amp has an 8 ohm Celestion fitted. This sort of mismatch would cause a loss of power. Any idea what percentage loss? What tone and reliability effects could be expected when playing on low power with such a mismatch?
Thanks for any advice.
