The plate dissipation is slightly lower (10 vs 12 w) and the pinout is slightly different - the 6973 has two screen grid pins (1 & 8) where as the 6CZ5 only has one (1) so you have to ensure that the screen grid supply is connected to pin 1. The 6973 needs more grid drive than the 6BQ5 and you may have to drop the signal a bit if you convert. GW
