6973 pentode output power tubes?

AMPY	6973 pentode output power tubes? I purchased a gretsch amplifier for guitar it has these 6973 tubes. They are no longer made and I don't think there are substitutions. They are a 9pin base style but the base may differ from a EL84. I am wondering if a conversion to EL84 is possible? There are many wonderful Valco built amps made under many different brand names. I would like to keep these amps alive. I would greatly appreciate your expertise and advice. Thank you much. AMPY
