There was a local tech in Seattle who used Lock-Ease graphite lube in pots. His reasoning was that the graphite would "fill in" the gaps in the carbon element and repair the pot. Can anyone tell me what's wrong with this picture? Anyone know how to get this stuff out of the pots without pulling them apart & swabing them? I can always tell an amp that has been to his shop by the dark stains on the pots. Spray cleaners don't seem to remove this stuff very well.
