Liam	Re: GIBSON PU'S They're OK as high output pickups go, but a bit soul-less to my ears. They really are high output, with ceramic magnets I believe. My choice would be the PAF and PAF+ ri pickups, or Pearly Gates or JB's if you want a bit more output. The 500T and 496R aren't a new invention. They've been about for some time in the LP Classic guitars I believe. Liam
