The things I changed included the output bias, lowered the R to 100 ohms, and the tone control. I wanted a low insertion loss, one knob deal and I used a rig as found on the Deluxe 5c schematic (in the Pittman Book), using caps with 500p and 5000p values. This gives the ability to boost or cut treble, while the bass cut is determined by the cath bypass and the coupling caps.
