Lee M.	Re: To hack or not to hack (Traynor) I bought a YSR-1 a few years ago for a project amp. Tried a couple of master volume circuits before deciding it sounded pretty good on its own. As someone else mentioned, I can always stick a pedal in front of it for more gain. OTOH, I do have a Traynor YGM-2 in pieces in the basement waiting for parts to build a "November," Randall Aiken's EL84 version of a Plexi. That amp did nothing for me sound-wise so I didn't feel bad about hacking it.
