It will give you the definition of impedance and quite a few other terms. The true definition of impedance is a bit confusing, if you haven't had any electronics background, but take a look anyway, and see what you think. The short answer is that it is sort of the "AC equivalent" of DC resistance, and is the unit of measurement for speakers, guitar pickups, etc. Randall Aiken
