Ken Gilbert	Re: EF86 Questions mike, the latest schematic i have posted on my website of my preamp shows the cascode connection. go here: http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Garage/5701/preampmods.html and at the bottom of the page is a link to a .pdf file which is reasonably recent. i did change the fixed bias on the top grid to a self-bias arrangement, as per randall aiken's suggestion. it DOES sound better and more natural. i'll be posting an updated schematic soon. ken
