At idle for the quad the tubes are drawing 135mA across the output tranny fuse... It appears to be a fixed bias design, but trying to reverse engineer a circutboard to find the correct resistor is giving me a major headache... It is a Crate Vintage Club 50... 4xEL84, 4x12AX7.. Fixed bias design... Thanks in advance!!!!!! Rob W.

Hello all!

I think that i have found my problem... The tubes appear to be biased a little too hot... At idle for the quad the tubes are drawing 135mA across the output tranny fuse...

It appears to be a fixed bias design, but trying to reverse engineer a circutboard to find the correct resistor is giving me a major headache... ;-)

It is a Crate Vintage Club 50... 4xEL84, 4x12AX7.. Fixed bias design...
