Except for the cheesy looking plastic extrusion molding just below the control panel, it has some nice features. Adjustable reverb on both channels? The driven sound is actually quite good. IMHO, only the clean sound needs a bit of help. My friend who had two of these had to sell off a lot of his accumulated treasures to pay rent, lawyers, etc. So I don't have one nearby to experiment on. I haven't actually changed out those tone-sucking electrolytics, but feel strongly that it will improve the clean sound considerably. Maybe you could try the parts substitution and report back.
