Trivial question re trivial amp

fet	Trivial question re trivial amp The "on" LED on my Danelectro Honeytone battery-powered mini-amp shines very brightly; bright enough to make me think that it uses a lot of power. Could I significantly reduce my battery consumption by 1) removing the LED and replacing it with a less-bright one (lower current draw); 2) removing the LED totally; 3) adding resistance to the LED circuit? (I haven't opened up the unit yet; no idea what's going on, I must admit.) Thanks in advance for ideas.
