Peter S	Re: marshall jtm45 power transformer Heavier overrated PT's will not drop as much voltage when the amp is being driven hard. Tonally this is more similar to using larger filter caps and/or a solid state rectifier. It will also run cooler than one that is being pushed to it's limit and may last longer. PS
