The mack daddy of all hardware loopers IMO is the Echoplex Digital Pro (Previously from Oberheim, now manufactured by Gibson). That said, I'll take a tube echoplex anyday over one of those. There's even a good mailing list for this kind of thing called "Looper's Delight" run by one of the designers of the EDP at http://www.annihilist.com/loop/loop.html
