Only that I think that tube amps require a lot more maintenance and repairs than a solid state FX pedal... Of course you are correct in that it makes either of them virtually impossible to modify. But with a tube amp, every time that you change the tubes you may want to revoice the amp a bit... But the way I see it if ZV is going to complain about his designs being copied, why not just "lock the barn door before the cows get out"? I would never intentionally buy a pedal with epoxy on it. I feel that way about tube amps! I guess I'm not much of a "pedal" guy anymore... ![]() --Thanks! Steve Ahola P.S. I just did buy a H&K Tube Rotosphere... I was wondering if schematics for those are around or should I try to reverse engineer it? I've always been a nut for rotating speaker simulators and this one seems to be the best by far... I believe that the tube is just used for gain stages and that all of the effect circuitry is SS. |
