Drawing/Spice packages

Drawing/Spice packages
I've decided I ought to start designing my own amp, and maybe some effects.
I'd really appreciate any advice on drawing packages and spice packages. Shareware or freeware would be preferable, but I don't mind spending some money if it's going to be worthwhile.
Can anyone recommend packages for doing this sort of thing? Anything that can model tube circuits would be a great advantage. I've already got a real simple nodal analysis package, but I want something a bit more comprehensive.
If there's anything out there that can draw a circuit and then analyse frequency response, etc. I'd be really pleased to hear about it.
