Replacing pickup toggle switch

Replacing pickup toggle switch
A DPDT on/on/on toggle switch, which selects the standard neck, neck plus bridge, and bridge configuration crapped out on my guitar. The switch has 6 soldering lugs in the back, some of them soldered together it seems.
I can easily find a Gibson 3-way toggle, but it does not appear to be a DPDT, nor does it have 6 soldering lugs. Can I substitute the Gibson switch, since it is used to select the exact same pickup configurations, would the solder connections be obvious once I studied the two switches?
Thanks for your help.
