Spec-wise they appear identical so it may be something with the cone. The Fender Blues are also made by Eminence but I don't know if they are identical to the Eminence branded Alnicos or not. BTW, I purchased the ceramic magnet Eminence from MCM and it appears identical to the gold label Fender speaker in my Pro Jr. Lee
