| Mick | Jazz Bass wire size Got a couple of bass pickups to wind , jazz bass , bridge position , which wire size ? going for between 81/2 and 9 ohms , is 42 ok? Thanks Mick |

yes use 42 AWG. You'll be struggling to get up to 9 K Ohms with 42 though. Generally, I'd head for 7.8 for a jazz bridge and 7.3 for the neck. |

| GTarman | Yep, Spence is correct. The 9k range distorts some, at least with the one I wound last night, and it was tough getting 9K of 42 on there. Sorry didnt keep up with the turns. |
