I have a question... If DiM has a USA 'trademark' on double cream pups, and I buy imported cream pup bobbins, is there any way I can wind pickups to sell in the USA with them? Or, do I just pretend I'm Duncan and only sell double cream pups with the covers over them so the purchaser can remove them and 'find' them? Ken |

Couldn't you simply trademark a name like Vintage White bobbins and leave it at that? Just pick a slightly different shade and trade mark it a different name. Use some Pantone color chips to prove the difference. I think people just fear an expensive law suit. I don't think there is really any legal leg for DiM to stand on if you took this approach. |

| Dave Stephens | Andy aren't your bucker bobbins shorter than most? What is the coil height on these versus whats available over here? I'm interested possibly in these for bridge pickups to take off some of the bite there. Do you have the coil former part dimensions, length and width and height of these? |

| Andrew C. | Dave, They have a 6mm coil height. This is 0.35mm under the Gibson 1/4"" standard. The string spacing is 50mm AndrewC |

What I want to know is how Carvin has been able to make double cream bobbin M-22's for years. I wonder if they are licensing to DiM? Doesn't seem likely. | |

| Wolfe Macleod | Dave, it's because of their polepiece configuration. Insteal of having 12 poles, there are 20-something. |
