yeh gib...i no the feeling....but I've gotten good enough with my ear ...I think I can forego tearing up my fave guitbox each set I make....done it quite a bit tho.....no place like home :)

I have been planning to build a (magnetically transparent) plastic "bridge" that sits over the strings. I will attach the pickup under test onto it UPSIDE-DOWN facing the strings. The whole thing can be moved to any point along the strings' length. Would this work?
