| fredsy | a simple mic preamp i have built a simple mic preamp using a mat 02 in a common emitter configuration. with feedback resistor from collector to base. it sounds fine, but i would like more gain out of it. and would like suggestions on a simple minimal parts count second stage. has anyone got any ideas ? in addition does anybody know what value of capacitor should go into the base from the input mic signal. i like the circuit because its low noise and only uses two resistors. one to set the collector current and the previously mentioned feedback R from collector to base. any ideas for improvement happily accepted. also it would seem sure sm57 mics are sensitive to loading. if anyone has ideas in this area i'm very interested. |
