Floyd Rose problems Hi there I've got an explorer with a floyd rose trem that locks at the nut and has screw clamps at the bridge. i've had to detune to D for a gig im playing at my wedding and i've tuned to pitch (well, D pitch), adjusted the springs to compensate etc. and the second i play or depress the bar it does out of tune slightly. if i tune by ear it sounds fine but the tuner says its out of tune, even though when i play a chord it sounds better than it did when the tuner said it was tuned. if i try the bar whilst its tuned by ear it stays in this tuning, but when i use the tuner to tune it back to pitch, 30 seconds of playing knocks it out again! I dont know if this helps identify the problem, but when its tuned, if i depress the bar the tuning can go up or down, and if i raise the bar at all it seems to get stuck in a slightly higher pitch until i depress it again. is something just getting stuck? i've also noticed there seems to be a difference in pitch if i stand up or sit down. PLEEEEEASE help!!!! any help would be apreciated |
