| Arno | Need help tuning Fender Vintage ‘62 strat Need help tuning Fender American Vintage ‘62 Stratocaster Hello I tune the guitar in normal guitar tuning. All the strings are good in tune. As I play chord!!!!! G-string doesn’t sound in tune. It gets out of tune!!! G sounds much sharper. Please help me fix the problem. Thank you in advance Arno |

| bobtecfx | If you have a Boss TU-tuner to get you in the ballpark First tune your axe 5 fret check with 7th fret harmonics.then you can try hitting a note on the 12th fret see how sharpe or flat it is. Hit the same 12th fret harmonic, adjust your saddle alittle forword or back on each note.its good to try to learn how to do it yourself anyway also check to make sure that you start with a 25 1/2in scale from nut to saddle The G string will probly be back more than the D,B,or high E.also you can buy some good how to set up books |
