i assume i'll need to use a 250k pot, but what about the resistors and caps?  
  
 
    For the mid-control I use 500k for single coil pickups. You can experiment with different values for the caps and resistors if you like- maybe try changing them 10% at a time.

    I think that you are better off with the pots being Vol Vol Tone. For optimum balancing between the two pickups I would make sure that the pots are wired up with the pickup going to the wiper (switch the two ungrounded terminals if necessary). That way if you turn down one of the Vol pots it will not mute the other pickup when both are switched on.  
 
    As for the switches, if they are SPDT does that mean that each switch turns on one of the pickups? You might want to upgrade to DP3T switches from a Mustang so that you can get out-of-phase linkages.
