muddy clean channel

muddy clean channel I have been using a Hot Rod Deville with a Marshall Powerbreak. Recently, I have noticed that the clean channel is muddy and distorts at volume levels as low as 2... and with anything but the lightest pick attack. I changed the 12AX7s, but that didn't help at all. Any ideas? Thanks. |
